Head of Knowledge Services, The data whisperer - Wells Fargo

Christopher Arnold, popularly known as the Data Whisperer, leads Wells Fargo's Knowledge Services practice and has spent the last 2.5 years building out one of India's best analytic shops. He has been an analyst since the Age of Mainframes and his definition of big data has remained valid for nearly three decades: "Anything that takes longer than a delicate green tea to steep."

While primarily focused on quantitative analyses across credit and marketing within financial services, he has conducted: field research in the Amazon Basin, ethnographies in organ transplant and tropical disease centers, and focus groups for "pay now, die later" funeral insurance plans.

Chris has an interdisciplinary master's degree from UC Santa Barbara. He evangelizes about effective data presentation across the US and India and is a lecturer in data visualization at UC Berkeley. A compulsive learner, he is currently studying yoga and Kannada. He lives with his family in Namma Bengaluru.
